NEW ORLEANS PARTNERSHIP : Mission

New Orleans Partnership is a Louisiana non profit corporation organized to foster and assist in the creation and implementation of economic development initiatives in underserved communities in the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area (“New Orleans”) in furtherance of the “LIFT New Orleans Initiative.” The goal of the Corporation is to target available federal, private, and philanthropic resources, using these resources to facilitate strategically-focused, sustainable private and public investments in underserved communities in New Orleans. The goal of the Corporation is based on the following tenets (the “Basic Tenets”): (1) that the underserved communities of New Orleans have the capacity and desire to undergo tangible and sustainable economic development and (2) that by leveraging and coordinating business, philanthropic and government resources and efforts and installing the right leadership, locally-driven economic development can become a reality.
