KEYS TO SUCCESS: Faith Based Involvement

Local Faith-Based Involvement

Local faith-based leadership remains the pillar on which our local communities in New Orleans stand. As such, the involvement of the entire local faith community is essential in order for LIFT New Orleans to be successful and sustainable. Specifically, local faith-based leaders can play a central role in helping to assure maximum community acceptance, accountability and impact. In addition, faith-based leaders can play a major role in developing the affordable housing targeted under LIFT New Orleans. A large group of local faith-based leaders have formed a community development organization focused on housing. This organization, The Community of Faith for Economic Empowerment (COFFEE), is working with the New Orleans Partnership to help achieve the goals and objectives of LIFT New Orleans.
