Transforming New Orleans into one of the great and vibrant cities in the U.S. cannot be achieved without significant leadership and involvement from the business community. Local political and civic leaders are important to New Orleans--rebirth, but unless business leaders are centrally involved in generating solutions to the many pressing problems stifling growth, there will be no lasting revitalization.

For this reason, LIFT New Orleans is calling on the key business and civic leaders to come together and form a permanent organization, the New Orleans Partnership. The New Orleans Partnership will serve as the catalyst for jump starting LIFT New Orleans, plan and oversee its implementation and ensure that the talents of our business leaders remain sharply focused on the critical bottlenecks to New Orleans--economic revitalization.
